Recently, R. J. Reynolds Company has presented new tobacco products Camel Snus on American market. The Company decided to test new product and selected some states where the product was sold. Price is low, in comparison with the cigarettes one.
Snus tobacco is designated for smokers who decided to quit or to use something less harmful than cigarettes.
This creation is prepared from moist, ground tobacco that comes in small teabag like pouches. Users place the product between their upper lip and gum.
Along with Camel snus, Marlboro Snus produced of Philip Morris Tobacco Company was also presented on the American tobacco market.
Maybe, you are asking yourself why these great companies begin producing of snus variety. The response is simple. First of all it has been scientifically proved that snus is not as dangerous for health as cigarettes are. Secondly, snus is widely used among those who want to quit. It is often preferred as an alternative to cigs.
As the tobacco companies say “the smokeless product requires no spitting and provides an alternative to cigarette smoking, which has been banned in many indoor places.”
Camel Snus was tested on five tobacco markets in the USA. As R.J. Reynolds Company supposes, results can be described as very good and confident.
“We’re pleased at the results we’re seeing early on,” said R.J. Reynolds spokesman David Howard, who believes snus wound up at some West Virginia stores after test-marketing started in the Columbus, Ohio last July.
“There are 42 million adults who smoke. This gives them the opportunity to enjoy tobacco in situations where they may not be able to smoke”, added Howard.
Taste of Camel Snus is guaranteed by its special way of preparation- it is cooled. This is the difference between Snus and chewing tobacco. Studies demonstrate that refrigeration helps lessen levels of cancer-causing substances in tobacco. Howard says snus is refrigerated to ensure freshness.
Although, even Camel Snus is so wonderful and tasteful it remains a tobacco product that means that it is prohibited to sell it to minors.
“This product is developed to and marketed to adult consumers,” Howard said. “It’s illegal to sell it to minors.”
In order to make taste of Camel Snus clearer it can be cited the slogan collected from the Camel Snus Web site that said: “Pleasure for wherever, whenever.”
